75 minutes of thoughtful play, made for little teddies aged 0-4.
each session gives your little one space to explore, imagine and play, with role-play huts, our cosy reading tree and a dedicated baby area for pre-walkers.
every booking includes your own table within the play area, giving you a clear view of your little one and keeping you close by while they play. so you can enjoy a speciality coffee and something to eat freshly prepared from our café, without ever feeling too far away from your little teddy.
our play area is cleaned after each session, with a 30 minute break in between to reset the space for the next group.
please note:
children must be supervised by their grown-up at all times
socks must be worn in the play area. don’t worry if you forget, we will have some available to purchase!
no outside food or drink is allowed in the café to allow for any potential allergies around you

our story.
we’re roopal and riya - cousins, like sisters, and now co-founders of teddy & toast.
between us, we’re mums to three little ones - roopal’s two (11 and 9) and riya’s 2 year-old - so we understand just how important it is to have a space that feels calm, clean and thoughtfully put together, for both teddies and grown-ups.
teddy & toast was created from that place. for a long time, we found ourselves looking for somewhere just like this - somewhere that combined beautiful, simple play with genuinely good food and coffee - but we always felt something was missing. we saw a gap for a more considered, modern space that works just as well for parents as it does for little ones.
everything here has been chosen with care - from our play spaces that encourage gentle, imaginative play, to our café offering locally sourced bread, bakes and pastries, alongside specialty coffee from a local roaster.
we’ve created a space where you can sit, see your little teddy play, and take a moment - whether that’s with a proper coffee, a catch-up with a friend, or simply a pause in your day. we also serve freshly prepared meals for the teddies, including freshly baby weaning purées, build-your-own lunch and healthy snacks.

Our play area is tailored specifically for pre-schoolers - from newborns up to 4 years old.

Standard play sessions run for 75 minutes. This gives little ones plenty of time to explore and have a bite to eat. It also leaves time for us to give the space a fresh clean and reset before the next session starts.

Bookings are non-refundable, but you can reschedule your session up to 24 hours prior via your email booking confirmation link.

Shoes off, socks on please! For hygiene and safety, all adults and children must wear socks inside the play area at all times. Grip socks are recommended for little ones. Socks are also available to buy from us if you forget a pair.

No. Children remain the responsibility of their parent or caregiver at all times while at teddy & toast.

We strongly recommend booking online in advance to guarantee entry, as we cap numbers to keep the play safe and tables for parents/carers guaranteed. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but availability cannot be guaranteed, particularly during peak times and weekends.

Yes, we have a dedicated buggy park area near the entrance. To keep the play and dining spaces clean and spacious for everyone, we ask that buggies and prams be parked in the designated area.

Unfortunately, outside food is not permitted, with the exception of baby milk/formula.
Our café serves a wide range of freshly prepared adult and child-friendly meal options, specialty coffee, snacks and cold drinks.
For any specific needs or exceptional circumstances that require bringing outside food, please contact us prior to your booking date so we can review and approve in advance.

We are a completely cashless venue!
We accept all major debit/credit cards and contactless payments (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) for session bookings, party packages, and in-person café orders.

We don't have dedicated customer parking directly on-site, but Borehamwood Shopping Park / Boulevard is just a 3-minute walk away!
If you park near the entrance of the retail park, it’s a very quick, smooth walk straight to our front door.

Yes! teddy & toast is fully accessible.
The walk from the retail park entrance to our door is also flat and pram-accessible, and we have a dedicated buggy park right inside when you arrive.
